Tesla CEO Elon Musk is looking to "accomplish many good things" during U.S. President Donald Trump's visit to China this week, Reuters reported Thursday.

Musk's remarks to reporters during his visit to China come as Chinese officials and the public seem to have a love-hate relationship with him and his products, the report said.

Chinese regulators see him as a visionary, as his products, including his electric cars, align with Beijing's vision, but his products are also the subject of numerous customer complaints, according to the report.

Musk's SpaceX and Starlink satellite internet also raised eyebrows from China's People's Liberation Army, according to Reuters.

Musk joined the delegation of CEOs accompanying Trump to Beijing seeking to resolve issues with the Chinese government, the report said.

Singapore Airlines' Attributable Profit Shrinks in Fiscal H2; EPS, Revenue Miss Estimates

Singapore Airlines' (SGX:C6L) attributable profit to owners dropped to SG$945.5 million in the fiscal second half ended March 31 from SG$2.05 billion a year earlier, according to an after-market filing with the Singapore Exchange.Earnings per share declined to SG$0.3 from SG$0.65 a year ago. Analysts polled by Visible Alpha projected EPS of SG$0.265 for the period.Revenue rose to SG$10.8 billion year over year from SG$10.0 billion, beating Visible Alpha forecasts of SG$10.7 billion.The city-state's airline company reported an interim dividend of SG$0.05 per share at a final dividend of SG$0.22 per share for the period, along with a special interim dividend of SG$0.03 per share and a special final dividend of SG$0.07 per share.The dividends will be paid on Aug. 28, the filing said.
