Dow Inc. (DOW.VI) is reportedly exploring a sale of its stake in its chemical manufacturing joint venture with Saudi Arabian Oil Co (SASE:2222), d/b/a Saudi Aramco, Bloomberg News wrote Wednesday, citing people familiar with the matter.
The sources reportedly said the US materials science company's sale of the Sadara Chemical Co stake could attract strategic or financial investors, as well as Aramco, which could look to increase its own stake. However, no final decisions have been made, and Dow could decide not to pursue the sale.
Dow and Aramco did not immediately respond to requests for comment from.
