DITO CME (PSE:DITO) unit DITO Telecommunity is planning to invest in artificial intelligence (AI) to enhance the efficiency of its operations as it expands, BusinessWorld reported Tuesday.

In particular, unit DITO Telecommunity will use AI for data mining and processing, the report said citing the firm's president, Donald Patrick L. Lim.

The move comes to tackle increasing capital needs as the unit expands its network.
