Deutsche Bank's (DB) DWS Group plans to rebrand as Deutsche Asset Management later this year to drive brand awareness outside its main German market, Bloomberg reported Wednesday, citing sources familiar with the matter.
Sources said Deutsche Bank has no immediate plan to regain full ownership of the asset management division, and one source said DWS will maintain its current brand in Germany, according to the report.
Bloomberg said a DWS representative confirmed that the division is looking to boost its international visibility, but noted that no decision has been made yet.
Deutsche Bank and DWS Group did not immediately respond to' requests for comments.
