Dell Technologies (DELL) is set to raise $5 billion through an investment-grade bond sale that attracted about $23 billion in peak orders, Bloomberg reported Wednesday, citing people familiar with the matter.
The company had initially planned to raise about $4 billion, according to the report. The debt will be issued across four tranches with maturities of three to 10 years.
Dell plans to use the proceeds to repay debt coming due this year and for general corporate purposes. The company has $2.3 billion of bonds maturing in October, according to the report.
Dell did not immediately respond to' request for comment.
