Indonesia's sovereign wealth fund confirmed early-stage talks to buy Eramet's stake in the Weda Bay nickel project in the country, The Jakarta Globe reported Wednesday.
Danantara CEO Rosan Roeslani was also quoted in the report as saying that the fund is "open for talks" on investments and local partnerships in Indonesia.
PT Weda Bay Nickel is owned 51.3/37.8/10 by China's Tsingshan, French miner Eramet, and Indonesian state-owned PT Antam (IDX:ANTM), according to the joint venture's website.
Eramet did not immediately respond to a request for comment from.
