CTBC Financial's (TPE:2891) subsidiary, Taiwan Life Insurance, is expected to sign a NT$60 billion build-operate-transfer contract with the Taichung City government for a 45,000-capacity domed baseball stadium in October, Focus Taiwan reported on Wednesday, citing the city mayor, Lu Shiow-yen.

The stadium will be capable of hosting concerts, will have two hotels and a luxury shopping mall, spanning an area of around 33,000 square meters, the report said.

Construction is expected to take around three years, the report added.
