CNOOC (SHA:600938, HKG:0883) sees room for energy cooperation between China and the U.S., Reuters reported Friday, citing remarks by the company's general counsel, Xu Yugao, during an earnings call.

The Chinese oil and gas giant said it will work closely with partners, including those in the U.S., to invest where there is value for shareholders, the report said, citing Xu.

SBI Holdings (TYO:8473) plans to purchase a 20% stake in Indonesia-based online brokerage Ajaib Group for $270 million by the end of August, making the latter an equity-method affiliate, Nikkei Asia reported Friday.Ajaib offers online brokerage, foreign-exchange margin trading, cryptocurrency and asset management services.
