Market Chatter: Chongqing Changan Automobile Targets Top-5 Global Ranking by 2030

-- Chongqing Changan Automobile (SHE:000625) disclosed its 20230 roadmap, targeting global sales of 5 million vehicles, with electric vehicles and plug-in hybrids hitting 60%, Reuters reported Tuesday.

The state-owned automaker sold 2.9 million vehicles in 2025, ranking 13th globally, according to the report.

Based on 2025 figures, hitting 5 million in sales would raise Chongqing Changan Automobile to top five, Reuters wrote.

2030 overseas sales target is between 1.4 million units and 1.8 million units ​by 2030, up from 2025 overseas sales of 638,000 vehicles, according to the report.

Market Chatter: Metallurgical Coal Prices to Stay Elevated as Middle East Conflict Disrupts Supply
