China will support the launch of actively managed exchange-traded funds in Shanghai and Shenzhen, Bloobmerg reported Wednesday, citing China Securities Regulatory Commission Chairman Wu Qing.
Wu made the remarks during the yearly Lujiazui Forum in Shanghai on the same day, the report said.
Beijing's approval would signal changes beyond the index-tracking products dominating the Chinese ETF market, according to the news outlet.
