China could ship at least 1.2 million tons of urea to India after Beijing softened export restrictions early in 2026, Bloomberg reported Thursday, citing people familiar with the matter.
The fertilizer shipment comprises at least two-thirds of the total quantity booked by India, with shipments slated to depart for India by Sept. 24, the report said.
India's Chemical and Fertilizer Ministry did not immediately respond to a request for comment from. China's Commerce Ministry was not immediately available for comment.
