China's exports of refined petroleum products in July climbed 6.7% from a month earlier to 4.65 million metric tons, as the government eased export restrictions imposed in March to secure domestic supply amid Strait of Hormuz disruptions, Reuters reported Tuesday, citing customs data.
Although export volumes fell 12.9% year over year, the figures reportedly represent a rise from the June level of 4.36 mmt. In June, exports also saw a 29% jump from May.
Easing of export curbs has put diesel shipments back on par with last year's levels. Gasoline and aviation fuel exports have posted month-over-month increases, although they remain below pre-war levels, according to the report.
