Chinese oilseed processors have inquired about Australian canola cargoes for delivery in the fourth quarter in anticipation of a trade deal that has blocked supplies, Bloomberg reported Thursday, citing traders who sought anonymity.
China and Australia have suspended canola trading since 2020 due to sanitation concerns, but Cofco International restarted shipping on a trial basis in 2025, the report said.
More oilseed crushers are seeking approval for Australian canola imports, the report said.
