Chinese coking coal futures extended their gains in early trade on Tuesday after the deadly blast at the Liushenyu coal mine in Shanxi province, Bloomberg News reported Tuesday.
Dalian futures climbed up to 5.1% before shedding most of the gains, according to the report.
At least 82 people were killed and more than 120 were hospitalized after the explosion on May 22 at the privately owned mine, Reuters reported.
