Market Chatter: Canada Reportedly Strikes LNG Supply Deal with Germany's SEFE

Canada reportedly reached a deal to supply German energy company SEFE with as much as 1 million metric tons of liquefied natural gas annually.

The LNG will be supplied from the planned CA$10 billion Ksi Lisims project in British Columbia, Bloomberg News reported Tuesday, citing people familiar with the matter.

A deal could be announced by the Canadian Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Tim Hodgson on Wednesday, the report added.

SEFE, Canada's Natural Resources Ministry, and Ksi Lisims LNG did not immediately respond to requests for comments from.
