TikTok's developer ByteDance attracted over $30 billion of orders for a $20 billion syndicated loan, indicating strong lender demand, Bloomberg News reported Tuesday.
The three-year facility, which can be extended to five years and was launched into syndication in July, includes an option to increase its size. The company hasn't yet made a decision on that front. Proceeds from the syndicated loan will be primarily used for general corporate purposes, the report said.
The Chinese internet technology company is considering raising capital spending of up to $70 billion this year to expand data centers and AI infrastructure, with spending potentially reaching $100 billion in 2027. Citigroup and JPMorgan Chase are coordinating the loan, with commitments due Aug. 19, it said.
The Beijing-based company did not immediately respond to' request for comment.
