Market Chatter: BP Said to Slash 700 Non-frontline Jobs Globally

BP (BP.L) will reportedly cut 700 non-frontline jobs globally, or 8% of its 8,500 non-frontline workforce, Reuters wrote Thursday, citing an internal email it saw.

The roles were historically part of the British oil major's production ​and operations business. The changes are not expected to have any material impact on frontline positions, according to the report.

BP did not immediately respond to a request for comment from.
