BP (BP) has resumed Venezuelan oil trading, with a tanker loading fuel oil for the company Tuesday, as foreign firms return to the market following the US removal of former President Nicolas Maduro, Bloomberg reported Tuesday, citing a document.
The tanker carries 400,000 barrels of heavy fuel oil, provisionally bound for Houston, with Petroleos de Venezuela supplying the cargo. BP's return comes as Trafigura and Vitol also resume trading Venezuelan oil, according to the report.
BP and PDVSA did not immediately reply to' request for comment.
