Boeing (BA) signed a 3.7 trillion Ugandan shilling ($984.6 million) agreement with Uganda Airlines for 10 new aircraft, Uganda Broadcasting Corp. reported Wednesday.
The deal covers eight passenger jets, a 767 wide-body converted freighter and a 737 converted freighter, the report said.
Uganda's government will make an initial deposit of 460 billion shillings from domestic revenue, with Boeing first delivering four passenger aircraft, the report said.
Boeing and Uganda Airlines did not immediately respond to requests for comment from.
