Blackstone's (BX) QTS is scrapping its plans to build a portion of a large data center campus in Virginia after receiving significant pushback from residents there, Bloomberg reported Thursday, citing people familiar with the matter.
In recent days, QTS executives decided that the project wasn't worth a court battle, and the data center developer's attorneys plan to notify the court of its decision as soon as this week, the report said, citing the people.
QTS didn't immediately reply to a request for comment from.
