Parisian department store BHV has terminated its partnership with Chinese fast-fashion giant Shein, just seven months after the collaboration sparked public backlash, Reuters reported Tuesday.
Societe des Grands Magasins, which has owned BHV since 2023, is selling the store to an internal management team led by Karl-Stéphane Cottendin, who said the tie-up was a mistake, according to the report.
Shein said it respected the decision but expressed regret that shoppers had to contend with ongoing construction inside the store, Reuters wrote.
