Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria (BBVA.MC), or BBVA, is preparing for a significant risk transfer linked to an estimated 100 billion liras of corporate loans in Turkey, Bloomberg News reported Tuesday, citing people familiar with the matter.
The loans were issued to small- and medium-sized companies by the Spanish lender's Garanti BBVA unit, according to the sources, who added that the World Bank Group's International Finance Corp. may join as an anchor investor in the risk transfer deal.
BBVA did not immediately respond to a request for comment from.
