Apple (AAPL) is planning a major update for its MacBooks and iMacs to capture demand for AI-capable devices, Bloomberg reported Wednesday, citing people with knowledge of the matter.
The company plans to introduce new versions of all its Mac models between this fall and next year, beginning with an entry-level 14-inch MacBook Pro featuring the new M6 chip and updated iMacs, the report added.
Shortage of memory chips has strained manufacturing and forced Apple to raise prices, according to the news outlet.
Apple did not immediately respond to' request for comment.
