Amazon-backed (AMZN) Anthropic employees Logan Graham and Sholto Douglas have personally invested in Pilgrim, The Wall Street Journal reported Wednesday, citing Pilgrim.
The startup has developed Argus, a device designed to detect viruses and other biological threats in the air, as concerns grow that advanced AI could make it easier to create dangerous biological agents, according to the report.
Pilgrim recently raised $25 million in seed funding, valuing the company at $150 million, the report said, adding that Graham and Douglas invested in the round in their personal capacities.
Anthropic didn't immediately reply to' request for comment.
