Advanced Micro-Fabrication Equipment China (SHA:688012), or AMEC, rolled out six new semiconductor manufacturing tools at an industry gathering in Wuxi, the South China Morning Post reported Wednesday.

Four of the newly launched machines are deposition systems, marking an expansion beyond the company's core plasma etching business, the report said.

AMEC shares were down nearly 1% in recent trade.

Viva Goods Ups Stake in Sportswear Giant Li Ning

Viva Goods (HKG:0933) has purchased 29.6 million shares of Chinese sportswear giant Li Ning (HKG:2331) for HK$398.4 million as an investment, according to a Tuesday bourse filing.The company said it bought the shares through open market transactions at an average price of HK$13.45 apiece.Following the transaction, Viva's stakeholding in Li Ning rose to 16.9%, with ownership of 437.2 million shares.
