Amazon.com (AMZN) was sued Tuesday in a proposed nationwide class action accusing the retailer of systematically discriminating against pregnant employees, Reuters reported, citing a complaint filed by four former warehouse workers.
The complaint alleges Amazon denied pregnant workers accommodations and threatened or fired employees who missed too much work, the report said.
Amazon spokesperson Kelly Nantel, in an emailed statement to, said the company provides pregnancy-related accommodations to tens of thousands of employees annually and approved more than 99.9% of requests in the last year.
"The accounts shared by A Better Balance contain inaccuracies and omit important details," Nantel said.
