Abu Dhabi National Oil Co., or Adnoc, instructed customers to resume lifting crude cargoes from its Das and Zirku island terminals in the Persian Gulf, warning that failure to do so could breach contractual obligations, Bloomberg News reported Friday, citing a company notice.
The state-owned oil producer said crude from both terminals has been available for loading since April 27 and expects all scheduled cargoes to be lifted in line with published loading programs, according to the report.
Adnoc told customers it could provide its own or affiliated tankers if buyers are unable to secure vessels. It also referenced sales terms that may require buyers to compensate the seller for failing to take delivery of contracted cargoes, Bloomberg added.
Adnoc did not immediately respond to a request for comment from.
