Abu Dhabi National Oil Co., d/b/a Adnoc, has continued loading tankers with liquefied natural gas in the Persian Gulf amid the recent escalation of conflict in the Strait of Hormuz, Bloomberg News reported Friday, citing satellite images.
The news outlet noted that ship-tracking data showed no tankers broadcasting their location near the Das Island export facility, but satellite data from Wednesday showed one vessel docked at the facility, with another tanker seen nearby.
Bloomberg noted that state-owned Adnoc has been occasionally shipping through Hormuz despite the threat of attacks.
Adnoc did not immediately respond to' request for comment.
