Marimaca Copper (ASX:MC2) reported further assay results from its ongoing drilling program at the Pampa Medina deposit in Chile, located about 28 kilometers east of its Marimaca Oxide Deposit, according to a Wednesday Australian bourse filing.
The results were up to 216 meters of about 1% copper and 7.2 grams per tonne silver from 466 meters, including 82 meters of 1.7% copper and 16.3 grams per tonne silver from 600 meters, the filing added.
Vice President of Exploration Sergio Rivera said the results are an "excellent example" of the extremely thick, continuously mineralized, high-grade manto horizons within the sedimentary sequence.
Diamond drilling to extend these holes is now underway, the filing added.
The company's shares rose nearly 11% in recent Wednesday trade.
