In economic news, Malaysia's leading index rose 0.02% month over month in June, according to the Department of Statistics Malaysia data. The pace of growth fell short of the Trading Economics forecast of 0.4% growth.
Malaysia's coincident index, which measures current economic performance, rose 2.6% month over month in June to 131.6 points from 131.2 points in May.
