The Malaysian state of Johor has attracted potential investments worth 5 billion ringgit, Chief Minister Onn Hafiz Ghazi said in a Friday Facebook post after a series of meetings with investors during his recent visit to Singapore.
The potential investments include high-speed optical technology, healthcare technology and semiconductor manufacturing equipment, bringing opportunities for new technology, expertise and quality jobs in Johor, he said.
He further said the state government will work on aligning training and skills development with actual industry needs so that when investments arrive, the locals are ready to be absorbed in the jobs created. At the same time, the Invest Malaysia Facilitation Centre Johor (IMFC-J) will continue to facilitate and expedite investment processes.
