Macquarie Group (ASX:MQG) unit Macquarie Bank is issuing $1.25 billion of subordinated notes, according to a Wednesday filing with the Australian bourse.
The 5.819% Series A fixed-rate subordinated notes will be issued under the bank's $25 billion US medium-term note program, with a maturity date of June 10, 2037.
The notes are intended to constitute tier 2 capital for the bank, per the filing.
