Mabwell (Shanghai) Bioscience (SHA:688062) received clinical trial approval from China's National Medical Products Administration for its 9MW5211 drug, according to a Shanghai Stock Exchange filing on Wednesday.
The drug is indicated for type 1 diabetes mellitus.
9MW5211 showed a favorable safety profile in previous studies on monkeys.
