Lupin (NSE:LUPIN, BOM:500257) posted a consolidated attributable profit of 14.2 billion rupees in the first fiscal quarter, up 16% from 12.2 billion rupees a year earlier, according to a Thursday filing with the Indian bourses.
Shares of the pharmaceutical firm rose nearly 1% in Friday's morning trade.
Earnings per share increased to 30.89 rupees from 26.62 rupees in the year-ago period.
Revenue from operations climbed 32% year over year to 82.8 billion rupees from 62.7 billion rupees.
