LS (KRX:006260) subsidiary LS Electric (KRX:010120) has decided to issue 500 billion won in private placement exchangeable bonds with a zero percent coupon rate, maturing on Nov. 9, 2031, according to a Korea bourse filing on Friday.
The bonds are exchangeable into 1.9 million common shares of LS Electric at an exchange price of 270,000 won apiece, with an exchange period running from Nov. 10, 2026, to Oct. 9, 2031.
The entire proceeds will be used for its North American investment and new business investment, with 400 billion won allocated for this year and 100 billion won for 2027.
The bonds will be issued to designated purchasers, including Kiwoom Securities, KB Securities, and several private equity funds, with subscription and payment dates set for Nov. 9.
