Louisiana-Pacific (LPX) said Tuesday it will "indefinitely" curtail the production of oriented strand board at its Jasper, Texas facility starting October due to soft demand.
"Current market conditions require us to align OSB production with demand," said CEO Jason Ringblom. "While the near-term environment for OSB remains challenging, we are confident in LP's strategy and our ability to create long-term value."
The company said it will provide job search and career transition to affected employees.
