Linkers Industries (LNKS) said Wednesday it will increase its stake in LPW Electronics to up to 49% through a subsidiary as part of its expansion in Thailand.
The company said its wholly owned subsidiary Linkers Asia Pacific entered into a definitive agreement to acquire 150,800 LPW Electronics shares, representing a 29% stake, for about $2.35 million, along with the settlement of roughly $6.16 million in outstanding obligations.
The deal is expected to close around Wednesday and builds on its existing 20% stake in LPW, a manufacturer of wire harnesses in Thailand, Linkers said.
Linkers Industries shares were up more than 12% in Wednesday trading.
