Lindian Resources (ASX:LIN) is on track for first production at the Kangankunde project in Malawi in the fourth quarter of the year, with front-end commissioning slated for late October and practical completion for November, according to a Thursday filing with the Australian bourse.
Mining operations are ramping up with production drilling and blasting underway, while ore is mined and stockpiled for plant commissioning, the filing said.
Meanwhile, operating team mobilization is underway at the SARECO mixed rare earths carbonate facility in Kazakhstan, with 25 personnel transferring to the company, per the filing.
Shares rose 3% in morning trade Thursday.
