Lindian Resources Says Malawi Rare Earths Project's First Production Targeted for 2026-End

Lindian Resources (ASX:LIN) said first ore introduction and first production of monazite concentrate is targeted by the end of the year at its Kangankunde Rare Earths Project in Malawi, following a site visit by Malawi's Minister of Mining Thoko Tembo and senior government representatives, according to a Thursday Australian bourse filing.

The company said ore feedstock is ahead of schedule, with about 125,000 tonnes of ore now established on the run-of-mine pad, providing substantial feedstock ahead of commissioning and supporting a controlled ramp-up to first production.

Practical completion remains on track, while 33 kilovolt power infrastructure is substantially advanced, with site transformer installation and energization planned for October to enable progressive electrical testing and plant commissioning, the filing added.

The critical minerals company's shares were down nearly 2% in recent Thursday trade.

Carimin Petroleum Raises Stake in Sealink International to 25.3%

Carimin Petroleum (KLSE:CARIMIN) acquired a 5.8% stake in Sealink International (KLSE:SEALINK) for 9.9 million ringgit in cash, according to a Tuesday filing with Bursa Malaysia.The acquisition involved 29.1 million shares bought at 0.34 ringgit each, between Sept. 18 and Sept. 22.Following the acquisition, Carimin's stake in Sealink rose to 25.3% from 19.5%, making Sealink an associate company.Carimin Petroleum said the acquisition was part of its ongoing investment strategy.The deal was funded through internally generated funds and does not require shareholder or regulatory approval, the filing said.
