Jiangsu Lihua Animal Husbandry (SHE:300761) posted higher revenue from chicken sales in July, while hog sales revenue slipped in the same month, according to a Shenzhen bourse filing on Thursday.
The Chinese livestock company's shares slipped 1% at the close of Friday's trade.
The company generated 1.27 billion yuan in revenue from chicken sales in July, rising 23% from a year earlier.
The number of sold chickens rose 4.6% year on year to 51.4 million, with the average selling price climbing 14% to 11.11 yuan per kilogram.
Meanwhile, revenue from hog sales fell 6.2% year on year to 244 million yuan. The company sold 177,200 hogs for an average of 11.16 yuan per kilogram, with the sales volume jumping 22% and selling price dropping 24% from a year earlier.
