LG Uplus (KRX:032640) has approved a 90 billion won trust contract with KB Securities to acquire up to 6.16 million common shares, aimed at improving capital efficiency and boosting shareholder value.
The buyback runs from Aug. 14, 2026, to Feb. 13, 2027, with shares priced at 14,620 won each based on the prior day's closing price, according to a bourse filing on Wednesday.
The program is part of the company's broader value-enhancement plan, and the acquired shares will eventually be cancelled to benefit shareholders.
Following a previous cancellation of 5.4 million treasury shares in May, the company maintains a substantial remaining acquisition limit of over 4.92 trillion won under commercial law.
