LG Uplus (KRX:032640) will invest 1.348 trillion won to build phase two of its new artificial intelligence data center facility in Paju, South Korea, according to a Thursday filing with the Korea Exchange.
The telecommunications operator said the investment represents 14.88% of its equity capital and will accommodate growing customer demand.
The construction of the new facility is scheduled to start on Aug. 1, with completion expected by Nov. 30, 2028.

United Microelectronics (TPE:2303) board approved an investment of up to NT$1.7 billion in private equity fund TGVest Asia Partners III (Taiwan), according to a Wednesday Taiwan Exchange filing.The investment will be made through capital contributions based on capital call notices under the fund's limited partnership agreement.The funds will be used as a long-term investment, it said.
