The facility will also manufacture Nickel Manganese Cobalt or NMC cells for Toyota's ( TYO:7203) upcoming 2027 Highlander EV assembled in Kentucky.
Since 2010, LG Energy Solution has invested over $5 billion in Michigan across its Holland and new Lansing facilities, where it has already spent $2 billion and employs 900 workers, with plans to expand to 1,700 at full capacity.
