LG Electronics Teams Up with Marriott on Next‑Gen Hotel Tech Platform

LG Electronics (KRX:066570) signed a long-term strategic partnership with Marriott International to develop a cloud‑based next‑generation guest room technology platform, according to a Wednesday release.

The platform will initially enhance in‑room entertainment and enable device management and connected guest experiences across Marriott properties worldwide.

LG will provide connected‑device capabilities, management technology and technical support, while Marriott will tailor the platform to guest experience, the release said.

Viva Goods Ups Stake in Sportswear Giant Li Ning

Viva Goods (HKG:0933) has purchased 29.6 million shares of Chinese sportswear giant Li Ning (HKG:2331) for HK$398.4 million as an investment, according to a Tuesday bourse filing.The company said it bought the shares through open market transactions at an average price of HK$13.45 apiece.Following the transaction, Viva's stakeholding in Li Ning rose to 16.9%, with ownership of 437.2 million shares.
