LG Electronics (KRX:066570) opened its second home appliance production plant in Brazil's Paraná, the electronics products maker said in a Monday release.
The factory spans 770,000 square meters and has a production capacity of about 600,000 refrigerators a year, the company said.
The company invested a total of $310 million in the new production base, which incorporates smart factory solutions, including artificial intelligence and industrial robotics, the release said.
