LG CNS (KRX:064400) said it has partnered with Naver Cloud to install direct-to-chip liquid cooling technology at its Samsong Data Center in South Korea to support high-performance AI servers, according to a Wednesday release.
The South Korea-based global IT services company said the system will support Naver Cloud's operation of Nvidia's next-generation Vera Rubin GPUs at the 80-megawatt Samsong Data Center, using cooling plates attached to GPU chips to absorb heat through circulating liquid.
The construction and demonstration of the liquid cooling infrastructure are expected to be completed by next year.
