Leshan Electric Power (SHA:600644) plans to establish a subsidiary to manage the implementation of a power station project, according to a Shanghai bourse filing on Thursday.
The subsidiary will be named Sichuan Ledian Qingbaijiang Energy Storage Technology and it will have a registered capital of 1 million yuan.
Ledian Qingbaijiang will be the implementing body for the construction of an electrochemical energy storage power station, which will have a capacity of 100 megawatts or 200 megawatt hours.
The Chinese hydroelectric power distributor's shares slipped 1% during the afternoon trade.
