Lennar (LEN) shares rose nearly 6% in Tuesday trading after Berkshire Hathaway (BRK.A, BRK.B) disclosed purchases of the homebuilder's stock in a Form 4 filing with the SEC.
Berkshire subsidiaries bought roughly 2.67 million class A shares and about 75,021 class B shares between Sept. 17 and Sept. 21, in transactions valued at a combined $212.4 million, according to the filing.
Class A purchases were made at weighted-average prices ranging from $76.39 to $79.41 per share, while class B shares were bought at weighted-average prices between $74.80 and $78.38.
Following the transactions, Berkshire's subsidiaries beneficially own 23,719,109 class A shares and 528,217 class B shares of Lennar.
