Larvotto Resources Says First Ore Mined Underground at Hillgrove Antimony-Gold Project, Shares Up 8%

Larvotto Resources (ASX:LRV) mined the first ore underground and delivered it to the stockpile at its Hillgrove antimony-gold project in New South Wales, according to a Tuesday Australian bourse filing.

The company said underground operations and plant refurbishment activities are on track and within budget, with contractor PYBAR advancing 170 meters and rehabilitating 1.9 kilometers of drives, and installing 20,000 rock bolts in preparation for full underground production.

Vertical raise boring works for the new ventilation shaft have commenced ahead of schedule, with process plant refurbishment remaining on track, it added.

The company's shares rose 8% in recent Tuesday trade.
