Lachlan Star (ASX:LSA) extended mineralization at the New Waverley gold project in Western Australia via a maiden 13-hole 1,031-meter diamond drilling program, according to a Tuesday Australian bourse filing.
It encountered intercepts of 7.6 meters at 2.65 grams-per-tonne grade of gold from 18.5 meters, as well as 1.6 meters at 9.83 g/t grade of gold from 44.5 meters.
A follow-up reverse circulation drilling program of around 2,400 meters will begin within the month, designed to infill and extend known mineralization.
Its shares fell 3% in recent trading on Tuesday.
